With the help of agentic AI, I’ve been surfacing old notes. Back in 2019, I wrote down some lessons I learned while traveling… ⚽️ A hacky sack in your backpack is a fun way to get the blood flowing, make new friends, and, in a pinch, can be used like a tripod for a camera …

Better Late Than Never – A Quick 2024 Recap
I’m working on my 2025 year-in-review post, and regrettably, I did not post last year or in 2023. The way I’ve gone about writing these reviews in the past is by browsing through my photo library to jog my memory of the events and adventures from the past year. 2024 was a really fun and …

Bikes, Broken Bones, Disc Golf, and More – My 2022 Review
2022 was a fantastic year. After taking a long hiatus, I got back into several hobbies including cycling, live music, traveling, and festivals. I also discovered a new hobby, disc golf! I saw one of my photos become a painting, a lunar eclipse, a new relationship, and ate some delicious food. It wasn’t all rainbows, though, I got pretty beat up in a bike vs car accident this year, and I got COVID.
On Capturing Moments in Time
I’ve been SO excited to tell this story for weeks now, but I had to wait for a few of the pieces to come together… In what feels like a past life these days, several years ago I was doing a bunch of traveling and taking a bunch of photos. I uploaded all my favorite …
Visiting Fairbanks, Alaska for the Aurora Borealis

WordCamp Seattle, Pike Place Market, & San Juan Island
During early November 2018, I flew over massive amounts of smoke from the Camp Fire en route to Washington. I had the opportunity to eat my way through Seattle and Pike Place Market, then drove north to Anacortes where I stayed in one of my favorite Airbnbs of all times. From there, I jumped on a ferry to San Juan Island to visit my grandparents.
Is Boise the BEST city EVER – Treefort Music Fest 2018
Boise was on my travel bucket list for the last year and I FINALLY made it out there. It was a super spontaneous, last-minute trip. I bought a one-way ticket ~12 hours before take off and I am so glad I did! The Treefort Music Fest was awesome! I saw George Clinton and I saw …

Sexually Ambiguous Cowboys and a Trip to Austin, Texas
Just got home from Austin and finished up the edit for this week. I riff a bit about meeting online friends IRL, my frustrations with California, and some of the clues we found around our Airbnb… I didn’t add it to the vlog, but all of us there from the Beaver Builder team filmed an …

My First Vlog – Travels hacks from my trip to Denver, CO
I started off 2018 with a couple of posts on the blog here, but I am also making an effort to start working more with video. I made a two-part vlog about my trip to Denver as an effort to learn about filming and editing. I just finished up the edit on part 2 and …
